During regular LaRue County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office business hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, except holidays, all bond must be paid at the Circuit Court Clerk’s office and paperwork brought to the detention center to have defendant released. After normal clerk’s office business hours, weekends, and holidays, bonds will be taken at the detention center.

Administrative Release (AR) - Certain nonviolent misdemeanor & felony charges may be released by Pretrial Services.

Personal Recognizance (ROR) - Your personal recognizance, provided that the defendant promises to appear at all scheduled hearings, trials, or otherwise as required by the Court.

Unsecured Bond or Surety Bond - An unsecured bond from the defendant or the defendant’s surety will be forfeited should you fail to appear as required by the Court. Surety’s must be a KY resident with a valid Driver’s License or KY ID, be at least 18 years of age, employed, have no pending/convicted felony charges, and cannot be the Defendant / Co-Defendants / Cross Defendants in the case.

Partially Secured Bond - Cash bail secured by cash deposit of a percentage set by the court (normally 10%) of the bond (but no less than $5) will be retained if you are found guilty and the court determines you have performed the conditions of your release. The entire cash bond will be forfeited should you fail to appear as requested by the court.

All payments of bonds or court fees / fines & cost at the detention center must be exact cash, NO change can be made at the detention center, nor credit / debit cards accepted. Bonds of $10,000.00 cash or more or Property Bonds must be paid at the LaRue County Circuit Court Clerk's office.

Full cash or partially secured bonds paid at the detention center

The following fees will be added to the bond amount and re non-refundable:

• Clerk Filing Fee - $25.00
• Jail Filing Fee - $5.00
• Warrant Service Fee - $30.00 - Any bonds taken on the service of a court issued warrant will have the Clerk and Jail Filing fees added along with a $30.00 warrant service fee.

Full cash or partially secured bonds paid at the LaRue County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office

Include the above fee except the Jail Filing Fee of $5.00

Payments for Court Costs / Fines & Fees paid at the detention center

The following fees will be added to the fine amount:

• Jail Filing Fee - $5.00
• Warrant Service Fee - $30.00 - Any court costs / fines & fees taken on the service of a court issued warrant will have the Jail Filing fee added along with a $30.00 warrant service fee.

Payments for Court Costs / Fines & Fees paid at the LaRue County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office

Includes the $30.00 warrant service fee only, the Jail Filing Fee of $5.00 will not be charged
